Facing Nature
Imaginal Embodiment in Subtle Fields of Relation
A Generative Process Inquiry
July 15 – August 12
.
The Magellan Fellowship Artist series in collaboration with the Earthanima Project invites your participation in an exploratory process to discover unique expressions from an enlivened heart of nature. In a spirit of friendship and curiosity this five week online engagement will bring together a lively cohort to unfold a relational field of creative inquiry into practices expanding our embodied sense of earth and other. Our time together will be a seriously playful journey into unknown territories and vulnerable expressions opening a new sense of aliveness in an emergent culture. How do we tune our sensing instruments to creatively engage with the voices of “other” rising within ourselves?
Hosted by Thomas Arthur of the Earthanima Project this online course will include elements of guided meditation, movement practice, sudden fiction, visual artistry, group conversation and shared reflection. We will gather as friends to deepen our capacities to think, feel and respond, unfolding a woven artistry of generative wholeness. Together we’ll conjure up a collaborative genius in the creation of a soundtrack for a short film, giving voice to a multiplicity of Elemental entities dreaming-into-being a more grace-filled universe.
Participants will be added to a private Facebook group where we will collaborate on various “assignments.” All postings and comments on this page will be held in confidence by all of us. We will harvest some of the offerings on this page and (with permission) share with the outside Magellan crew and the world. The course will begin with a conference call on Sunday July 15 at 5pm Eastern (US). We will have a weekly conference call every Sunday through August 12. Participation on the individual and communal jam sessions and practices will vary depending on your inspiration and time.
To register for the course send a note to Thomas on Facebook and he’ll add you to the group. This online interaction is freely offered, but donations to help support the Magellan Courses are most welcomed. Donate HERE.
